Artist Don Ed Hardy's (BFA 1967) first museum retrospective, Deeper Than Skin, opens July 11 at the De Young Museum. In advance of this show, Hardy's work will feature in SFAI's summer alumni exhibition, In A Flash, on view in the Diego Rivera Gallery June 29–July 28 with a special reception and artist talk on July 4. Immerse yourself once again in the SFAI community by attending this exclusive critique group just for SFAI alumni. This course is designed as an opportunity to gain critical feedback from practicing artists just like you in the Bay Area.
Mia Capodilupo (PB/MFA Sculpture, 2002), is a sculptor and installation artist originally from Boston, MA. She is currently living and running a contemporary art gallery, Ignition Project Space, on the west side of Humboldt Park, in Chicago, IL.
The gallery supports artists by providing a modest stipend and space for solo shows. Ignition encourages non-commercial project-based exhibitions, non-traditional media and general risk-taking. All media, artistic backgrounds and experience levels are welcome, as well as a variety of artists perspectives.
